Late night radio

Late Night Radio is the stage name of Alex Medellin, a Denver-based producer and multi-instrumentalist known for blending electro-soul, hip-hop, and funk. He emphasizes “emotion over energy” in his music, creating tracks that resonate deeply with listeners. His 2019 album, “Further Into The Night,” showcases his ability to interlace guitars, horns, and vocals, delivering soulful, downtempo journeys. Matthew Phillpot-Jones, known as DMVU, is a Denver-based electronic music producer renowned for his innovative approach to bass music. Growing up as an only child to musically gifted parents, he was immersed in a diverse musical environment, learning piano and drums early on. His passion for late ’90s and early 2000s hip-hop led him to experiment with beat-making using Ableton.
Influenced by Colorado’s underground dance scene, DMVU transitioned to producing bass music around 2015. His breakthrough came in late 2016 with the ‘Bloccd EP’ on TRUTH’s Deep Dark & Dangerous label, with the title track becoming a festival anthem in 2017. This success caught the attention of Circus Records, making him the first North American producer to release on the London-based label.
